Published room-addition range, average, and permits
Angi's range, reported average, and permit reference remain separate statements. A permit reference does not imply that every project needs the same approvals or fee, and Ramefor never adds it to another value.

Seven published room-size statements remain editorial
The source publishes dimension labels and square-foot labels in the same table. Ramefor retains each row as written and does not build a room-addition calculator from them in this release.
The 20-by-20 row and 400-square-foot row are mathematically equivalent in area and publish the same range, but they remain two source statements. One is not silently removed or treated as a substitute for the other.

Room function determines the trade scope
- A bedroom needs safe egress, electrical, HVAC, insulation, finishes, and often storage, but may not need plumbing.
- A bathroom or kitchen introduces supply, drainage, ventilation, waterproofing, fixtures, appliances, and more coordination between trades.
- A room over a garage or another occupied level can add structural, fire-separation, acoustic, access, and utility-routing constraints.
- Exterior matching should define roof form, siding, masonry, windows, trim, flashing, drainage, and how new work meets the existing envelope.
- Quotes should separate design, engineering, demolition, foundation, shell, rough trades, finishes, allowances, permits, inspections, and hidden conditions.
Use the room intent only when one space is the main question
Use the general home-addition page to compare building out and building up across a wider category. Use this room-addition page when the main question is the cost and scope of one defined room or functional space.
A real project can satisfy both descriptions, but that does not make the two Angi tables interchangeable or authorize averaging their rows.
