Angi publishes the following broad unit reference across kitchen remodel projects. Ramefor displays it with its source and scope but provides no free-form area input and never creates a new low or high estimate from multiplication.

Why Ramefor does not multiply the range by any area
- Cabinet, appliance, sink, range, hood, dishwasher, refrigerator, lighting, and outlet counts do not rise smoothly with floor area.
- A layout-preserving update and a reconfiguration with moved utilities can occupy the same number of square feet but require different trades and inspections.
- Design, measurement, mobilization, demolition, delivery, disposal, permit, and minimum trade costs create a fixed-cost layer.
- A larger kitchen can have more open floor rather than proportionally more cabinetry, counters, appliances, or wet work.
- Multiplying both endpoints would create a scenario Angi did not explicitly publish for that arbitrary area.
Use exact published size rows when one matches
The same Angi article publishes four discrete kitchen-size scenarios. They are more defensible inputs than an invented multiplication because each row is directly traceable to the source. They still remain national references rather than local quotes.

Define scope before using floor area as context
Measure the room, but also count cabinet runs, appliance and fixture locations, countertop and backsplash surfaces, flooring limits, doors and windows, and every utility change. Record what remains and what is replaced.
Then compare product specifications, labor scope, allowances, exclusions, and local requirements. Two quotes with the same square-foot number can still price fundamentally different kitchens.
Questions to ask when a quote uses a per-square-foot figure
- Which measured area does the rate use: room floor, cabinet footprint, countertop, backsplash, or another surface?
- Which cabinets, appliances, fixtures, materials, labor, demolition, permits, delivery, disposal, and taxes are included?
- Which layout, plumbing, electrical, gas, ventilation, framing, and finish changes are excluded?
- Are allowances and product specifications identical across the quotes being compared?
- What happens when the final design changes quantities or reveals work not represented by the unit rate?
